Alert USA - A new site designed to help owners find
their lost pets, was launched in late May. The site, which
describes itself as an Amber Alert system for lost or stolen
pets, allows pet owners to register their animals and post
photos of them online. When an animal is registered, at
a cost of $24.95, the company issues it a unique PetAlertUSA.com
identification tag that, in the event the pet becomes lost,
informs people who find the animal that it is registered
with the site. In addition to the registration option, the
new site offers pet health and nutrition information, as
well as training tips and additional pet-related resources.
